We will say if a plate is RESTORED, however, WE DO NOT RATE OUR USED PLATES!!! We have found that rating scales are arbitrary. Please rely on the pictures to make your decisions and PLEASE, e-mail for additional photos if you are not clear on the condition of the plate(s).
We will start adding some simple tags to some plates, such as: Mint, Bent, Dents, Scrapes, Re-Paint, Poor Re-paint, Re-Paint ? (If it looks like it, but, we can't tell for sure) and Restored. Plates without tags should not be construed to be without minor defects. Except where noted as Mint, these are all USED License Plates and there may be some Warping, Rusting, Pitting, Extra Holes, Tears, Scratching and other minor defects present. Even Mint plates often have minor manufacturing flaws although these are usually limited to paint issues.
It will be your responsibility to decide from the picture or ask for more photos. We are always more than happy to send additional photos to our customers!

UPDATE: THE SECRETARY OF STATE WILL STILL ALLOW DEALER AND MANUFACTURER PLATES THAT HAVE THE "D" OR "M" IN THE CHARACTERS, BUT, NOT IF IT IS SPELLED OUT, AS ON SOME OF THE PLATES!!!!!!!!!!!! They have also said that "Special Use" plates will not be allowed. Government, Law Enforcement, Disability, Non-Profit and Personalized plates have been off-limits for many years now. We have not been able to get a clear answer as to what other "Special Use" plates are ruled out!
IT HAS COME TO OUR ATTENTION THAT IF YOU APPLY FOR AN "AUTHENTIC" REGISTRATION USING A DEALER OR MANUFACTURER PLATE WITH IT WRITTEN OUT IT MAY STILL GET BY THE PERSONNEL THAT PROCESS APPLICATIONS.
In the meantime Passenger, Truck, Motorcycle, Farm, Commercial, 1/2 Year and Trailer plates are still good to register your wheels as "Authentic".
